"I can clearly recall how I used to struggle with feeling gratitude. I remember the words thank you coming out of my mouth with no feeling behind it, making me feel numb to appreciation. I also clearly remember achieving a feeling of gratitude for the first time since my childhood. The best way I can describe true gratitude is a raw feeling that shuts off all voices in your head and leaves you in awe, so much awe in fact it leaves you with no lack. This moment softly carries away any voices of stress, judgement, anxiety and leaves you completely present. The best way I can describe it is with the world “humbleness”. Now, this world means something different for everyone but to explain it deeper it is a feeling of pure clarity combined with true honor to be alive. This honor leaves you silent, making you wanting to restrain from thinking or speaking, for it would get in the way of the moment. This immense gratitude inspires you to change, to let go of anything that isn’t it, because now life becomes about having this very feeling as your baseline. Now, we are all naturally immensely grateful. One does not need to force this state, for it is not its nature. There is many ways to experience this state, all of them existing only in the now."
