What being playful means to Bhumi
"One afternoon, I went outside with the soccer ball to move my body and create some energy. I start playing 10-15 mins later a couple kids are learning over on the backyard fence, watching me play. I looked over at them and watched myself hesitate to ask, if they wanted to play. The awareness allowed me to pivot and I asked “do you guys wanna play?” They looked at each other and smiled, so I threw the ball to them and we started playing.
They started showing up almost everyday and it was so fun & beautiful, I learned so much from all the kids. One of the kids, Jose, would come over like everyday and we had so much fun together! That moment I extended the invitation to play soccer, I tapped into being more playful. Forever grateful to have created those memories with some of the kids in that neighborhood.
Whenever I see kids being playful I'm so in awe of their beauty and lightness. That energy is inspiring for me and I love being playful. Things can sometimes become so serious in life and this is just a great reminder!"
