Butterfly Hat | Ai Xia

The experience of life on this Earth, to me, is a process of continuous awakening and transformation. To what exactly? Our true selves, as unlimited beings, of pure love, and more powerful and magnificent than we could ever imagine. 

I designed this butterfly with two eyes, one open and one closed. Butterflies to me are a symbol of this transformation, and the two eyes are symbols of which state you are in: awake or asleep, or perhaps somewhere in between?

I invite you to meditate upon what being awake and what being asleep means to you, as the meaning you give to this piece is just as, or more important, than what I intended it to be. Let it be a reminder of your own journey and magnificence.
